includes a patented system that detects motion. When motion that could distort
the ECG rhythm occurs, the ECG data is automatically excluded from analysis by the motion detection
system.
AED
is not performing an analysis, automatically monitors for a
potentially shockable rhythm.
Motion Detection
The LIFEPAK 500
AED
indicates if it detects a shockable or nonshockable rhythm.
The CPSS, which is active when the
AED
operates in two modes: ECG analysis and Continuous Patient Surveillance
System (CPSS). During analysis, the

The screen messages appear on a two-line liquid crystal display (LCD). Other LCD information

ANALYZE
AEDs
that do not have an ANALYZE button, the
AED operation with two or three top-panel buttons (ON/OFF, ANALYZE [optional],
